This Privacy Policy applies to the EditAI marketing site at https://teachers.editai.co/au. If you have an EditAI account, our handling of your account, payment, and product data is governed by our main Privacy Policy at editai.co/privacy. If you are a user in the European Union or another region, please see our main Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy explains how UAB “EditAI” (the Company, we, us, our) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you visit the EditAI marketing site at https://teachers.editai.co/au.

We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) when handling personal information about Australian users.

If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the marketing site.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by UAB “EditAI”, a private limited liability company established under the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.

We do not have a registered office in Australia. We have an “Australian link” under section 5B of the Privacy Act because we carry on business in Australia and collect personal information from individuals in Australia.

2. What this Privacy Policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies only to the marketing site at teachers.editai.co/au. The marketing site has a limited purpose: to tell you about EditAI, let you sign up for a newsletter, and direct you to our paid product at app.editai.co.

This Privacy Policy does not cover:

If you click a “Get started” button on the marketing site and continue to app.editai.co, you leave the scope of this Privacy Policy and the main Privacy Policy applies.

7. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (including web beacons and pixels) to operate the site, understand how it is used, and measure advertising performance.

The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner has issued guidance (November 2024) that tracking pixel data may constitute personal information under the Privacy Act when it can be linked to identifiable individuals. EditAI is based in Lithuania (European Union). The personal information we collect on this site will be disclosed to recipients located outside Australia, including in:

These steps include contracting with recipients on terms that require them to handle personal information consistently with the APPs, the GDPR, or equivalent privacy standards, and selecting reputable providers with established privacy and security practices.

By using this site, you consent to your personal information being disclosed to overseas recipients in the countries listed above. You acknowledge that, where you give this consent, we will not be required to take steps under APP 8.1 in relation to that disclosure, and the Australian Privacy Principles may not be enforceable against the overseas recipient.

13. Complaints

If you have a privacy complaint, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve it:

If you are not satisfied with our response, or we have not responded within 30 days, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):

14. Children

The marketing site is intended for teachers and other adult users. It is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@editai.co and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this page and will take effect from the date shown at the bottom. If the changes are material, we will notify subscribers to our newsletter by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
